Picture
This recipe is adapted from the recipe Gnarly Garlic Brussels from Jamie Oliver's new book.
 5 Ingredients .
Picture
Only 5 ingredients.
  1. Brussel Sprouts
  2. Pomegranate
  3. Garlic
  4. Pistachios
  5. Cottage Cheese
(Jamie considers olive oil, salt and pepper and balsamic vinegar as staples, and doesn't include them in his ingredient list)
Picture
Rinse the Brussel sprouts.
Picture
Cut them in half and place them on a frying pan and grill the bottoms, don't grill anything except the bottom.
Picture
Crush the pistachios.
Picture
Mince the garlic.
Picture
Add the garlic to the Brussel sprouts. Keep them bottom down, but stir around the garlic.
Picture
Drizzle a bit of olive oil over it.
Picture
And a dash or so of water. Let it cook for a little bit, then remove from heat.
Picture
You want the pomegranate juice, so crush some of the seeds. Don't crush all of them, you'll need some later.
Picture
Picture
Use a strainer to get all the juice.
Picture
Take the cottage cheese out, and place two or three spoonful's on a plate.
Picture
Spread it over the plate.
Picture
Place the Brussel sprouts on the cottage cheese.
Picture
Sprinkle the pistachios, pomegranates, pomegranate juice, and olive oil over the Brussel sprouts.
This is such a colourful plate, with the green, pink, and yellow. The camera doesn't do it justice.
My parents said this tasted good, I wouldn't know because I didn't try it. :P I don't like cottage cheese or pomegranates. :)
