I am Writing!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
I am writing a story that popped into my head a few months ago. I put it on the back burner so I could focus on schoolwork, but now I am almost done my school and am ready to start writing.
The book is currently called The Candy Cane Killer and is a mystery/thriller book set in Vancouver. The premise of the book is this.

A serial killer is on the loose in Vancouver. He leaves a candy cane stuck in the bodies of his victims. There have been 5 killings over the past 10 years. The time gaps between killings are getting smaller.

Can rookie detective Georgiana Rockwell solve the case before too many more people get killed? Or will she let the killer get too close and become a victim herself? 

I am so excited. I finished the outline last week, fleshed out the characters a bit more, and am starting the first chapter this week.
I still have schoolwork to do, so I am not sure how much of the first chapter I'll get done, but I will maybe post the first chapter in here for you guys to read. Either that or I'll write a little prequel. That would be nice, eh?
