Hello beautiful.
These German Cookies are DELICIOUS! The chocolate of the cookies, the creamy goodness of the coconut topping... mmm... So good!
I cant tell you enough times, these cookies are GOOD!

I got this recipe from here. http://www.handletheheat.com/german-chocolate-cookies/
I made this recipe for my hockey team's camp-out. I was a little afraid they wouldn't turn out good, it was my first time making them. But my fears never bore fruit, for everyone had seconds at least!

For this recipe, I used the original cookie recipe. Next time I make them I am using my own double chocolate chip cookie recipe, for this one was a little bitter and crumby.

For the chocolate drizzle I didn't have a double boiler to melt the chocolate, so I used my own little contraption. So if you don't have a double boiler, never fear! I have a easy make-your-own double boiler that you can make from stuff you will have lying around the kitchen.

1.  Take a medium saucepan, fill 3/4 with tap water.
2. Set a smaller saucepan that has two handles onto the medium saucepan, making sure the water touches the bottom.
3. Put your chocolate chips or chocolate chunks into the small saucepan, then place double boiler thing onto the stove on high.
4. Keep an eye on your chocolate, and make sure the water doesn't boil over.

And voila! You have melted chocolate without having to worry about burning your chocolate on! :)
